Heywood Block 3 RS Riesling 2023

Tasting notes:

Lime cordial/lolly nose, yellow peach skin, honeycomb, bruised apples, citrus blossom. Such a delectable wine, silky and viscous texture with focused acid that cleans up the sweet fruit from the front of the palate.

Winemaking notes:
100% from a small plot within our 25-year-old Riesling vines at the ‘Heywood Estate. Hand picked and whole bunch pressed on slow Champagne cycle for 5 hours. Vinified with neutral yeast and fermented in temperature range of 14 to 15 degrees Celsius. Fermentation was stopped when the wine hit 13 grams of residual sugar. It was racked and placed in old oak ( to rest until bottling in late October.
